Where you been...there, not here.

I'm afraid I've neglected WWKKSay...with some intent and a little, busy elsewhere.

Intentionally...Ka Ka would tell me if you don't have anything nice to say...you know the rest. With the onslaught of wanna-be do-gooders wanting to redefine marriage, the economy in the toilet, the threats from foreign powers being ignored by this weak and incompetent administration, the assault on Constitutional Freedoms including those of the Second Amendment, the ignorance of mass media, the 'swept under the rug' Benghazi Act of War and killings of Americans, the appointment of the likes of John Kerry, the blind eyes regarding Fast & Furious, not the movie, and I'm sure I'm leaving something out, oh yea...the fragmentation of the Republican Party from the Extreme Right Tea Party fanatics through the Moderates and down to the Less Conservative (that you might as well call Democrats) the Conservative strength of this nation is...well lack of  better terms...toast...it has imploded, been nuked and reduced to rubble. Prove me wrong Silent Majority...which may also go to it's grave like those we loose daily from the Greatest Generation...possibly the last generation to leave it better than they found it. The Baby Boomers, of which I am one, will never be able to say that, claim it, or even relate to it in any way shape or form as compared to our parents. We as a whole, with exception of course, can make the claim of turning it into a me, me, me, what's in it for me society. I am not proud of that at all. So no...I don't have anything nice to say.

Busy elsewhere...well as previously stated in "How Time Flies" and "Another Blog" the new commitment to quilting along with the golf and motor rides tends to keep me pretty occupied. Am I blessed? If you can't figure that out you're in more trouble than this great country. Til later...
Elaine making a presentation to one of our Greatest Generation...a foot solider in Italy and a member of the 88th Division, a unit that sustained 5,026 casualties in 47 days during the Apennines Campaign in WWII . George Gray would remain with the Army; retiring as a Brigadier General.   A true American Hero. We are at American Legion Post 35 in Norfolk, VA...a piece of history in itself.

Four other True American Heroes were presented quilts that evening...I found it interesting they all expressed some concern and they couldn't quite figure out why they would be deserving of such a tribute. I'm not worthy.
